My name is Lanae Workman, Owner and creative genius behind Paisley Cakes, a custom cake and dessert company located in Blackfoot, Idaho. I have had a passion for baking and dessert since I was a child. From my first Easy Bake Oven, to the hours i now spend on cake designs and creations, desserts have always been my destiny.

I began decorating cakes as a hobby, and that hobby soon turned into a desire to run a business. I graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree in business management, an emphasis in marketing, and a minor in culinary arts. I was fully prepared for the next step, which was to open a shop, and share my talents and tasty cakes with you! That dream became a reality in August of 2013, when I, with the help of my husband Michael, opened our cake shop in Blackfoot.

With more than 23 years of experience, I am confident that we can create the perfect cake for you! From fondant to buttercream, no cake is too challenging! Paisley Cakes specializes in custom desserts, tailored to each unique client and their event! 

I have participated in the Eastern Idaho Sugar Art Cake Show at the Eastern Idaho State Fair for 13 years now. In 2018 I won Best of Show, and Grand Champion in both fondant and buttercream cakes, and have previously won Grand Champion in the Buttercream wedding cake, and Decorated Cupcake categories, as well as 3rd Place in the Fondant Wedding Cake category. I enjoy the competition, and love challenging my decorating skills and learning new techniques.

In January 2017, I was invited to compete in a cake competition as part of RootsTech in Salt Lake City, Utah. I finished in the top 5 in the Graduation Category, and had the opportunity to meet Judge, and Cake Celebrity, Buddy Valastro, Star of the hit TV Show Cake Boss!
